ISHPIINC.

The right leaders. The right partners.

Ishpi helps Tribal governments, Tribal enterprises, and Native-serving organizations find the leaders to guide them and the partners to build what their communities need.

Leadership

Finding the right executive, and equipping the board to hold the organization accountable.

Leadership Identification

Executive search

C-suite searches for Tribal governments, Tribal corporations, and Native-serving nonprofits and foundations.

  • Direct outreach to sitting leaders, through relationships built in national Native organizations
  • Selective by design: one to three searches a year, led by the principal
  • Confidential for the organization and for every candidate

Previous searches: California Tribal College, Potawatomi Ventures, Indian Land Tenure Foundation, and Northwest Area Foundation.

Leadership Development

Board training on KPIs

Boards are asked to oversee results they often have no clear way to measure. We give them the tools to do it.

  • Choose the few key performance indicators that reflect mission, finances, and strategy
  • Read dashboards and reports with confidence
  • Ask management the right questions and hold teams accountable to the answers

Facility Development

Pre-design and pre-construction consulting. We define the project and select the right partners before the largest commitments are made.

Understand

Start with your goals

A facility succeeds when it serves the enterprise and the community around it. We begin by understanding both.

  • Clarify what the project must achieve, and for whom
  • Align leadership, boards, council, and community on priorities, budget, and schedule
  • Turn those goals into a project brief to which partners can respond
Select

Build the RFP. Find the right partners.

Strong proposals come from a clear brief and a fair process. We design both.

  • Architect design competitions, RFQs, and RFPs
  • Owner's representative selection, with proposals compared on equal terms
  • Published criteria and written disclosure of any relationship with a responding firm
  • No design or construction fees, so our advice stays on your goals
We are able to access these places because we are from these places.
